Role Description
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of IT assets across the organization, including hardware, software, and licensing. This role ensures assets are tracked, utilized efficiently, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The IT Asset Manager collaborates with procurement, finance, security, and IT operations to maintain visibility, accountability, and cost optimization across the IT asset portfolio.
Missions
- Develop and maintain processes for IT asset tracking, procurement, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide visibility into asset usage, availability, and costs.
- Support IT planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation through asset intelligence.
Tasks
- Maintain and update the asset inventory system (CMDB or ITAM tool).
- Monitor hardware and software assignments, allocations, and returns.
- Coordinate IT asset procurement, receiving, and disposal activities.
- Track software licenses, renewals, and usage limits to ensure compliance.
- Conduct periodic audits and reconciliation of physical and digital assets.
- Implement and enforce asset tagging and classification standards.
- Collaborate with finance to align asset tracking with depreciation and budgeting.
- Generate reports for inventory, compliance, and optimization analysis.

- Proficiency in BI tools for reporting and reconciliation.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT.
