SAP Developer ABAP - Ozeol

Role Description

The SAP Developer (ABAP) is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom solutions within the SAP environment using ABAP programming. In the overstock clearance industry, this role supports business operations by ensuring seamless integration, performance, and functionality of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, CO, and QM. The developer works closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and efficient SAP enhancements.

Missions

•       Develop and maintain custom SAP functionalities using ABAP.
•       Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
•       Ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with development standards.
•       Support ongoing SAP projects, updates, and integration efforts.

Tasks

•       Design and implement custom reports, enhancements (User Exits, BADI, BAPI), interfaces, and forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms).
•       Develop and maintain data migration tools and conversion programs.
•       Support SAP integration with third-party systems via IDocs, RFC, BAPIs, or APIs.
•       Conduct unit testing and participate in system and integration testing phases.
•       Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing ABAP code.
•       Maintain technical documentation and follow change management procedures.
•       Collaborate with SAP Basis, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable operations.

Technical Skills

•       Proficiency in ABAP development including OO ABAP, ALV, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.
•       Experience with SAP enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, BAPIs) and interface technologies (IDoc, RFC, Proxy, OData).
•       Understanding of core SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, CO, QM) and associated data structures.
•       Familiarity with SAP integration tools and middleware (e.g., PI/PO, CPI is a plus).
•       Knowledge of performance tuning, debugging, and error handling in SAP.
•       Experience with version control tools and transport management.
•       Awareness of SAP security concepts and authorization objects.

Education & Experience

•       Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical background.
